It doesn’t just ask what we want...
It asks whether we’re willing to step forward, put in the effort and put ourselves on the line to make it happen.
One of the most essential—and most overlooked—parts of setting a goal is letting it be known. Whether it’s asking for help, referrals, advice, or accountability, once others are aware, they can support you in ways you might not expect.
So with that in mind, if we’ve never officially met—or if it’s been a while—this felt like the right time to reintroduce myself and share a few things you might not know about me, along with some of my goals for this year.
I encourage you to share your goals with me as well.
I’ll start. Hi, I’m Kim.
Some things you might not know about me…
I was a child athlete—dance, gymnastics, and even a nationally ranked synchronized swimmer—so health and movement have been part of my life for as long as I can remember.
That path pulled me back in a much deeper way in my late 20s, when a personal health crisis made one thing very clear: taking care of myself wasn’t optional if I wanted a happy, pain-free life.
I also have a strong internal drive to face the things that scare me. Case in point: in high school, I followed a boy into a theatre class…and promptly froze when asked to pantomime a simple daily task.
That detour led to a bachelor’s degree in theatre, acting as my first career, meeting my husband, and eventually moving to Los Angeles—where we spent nearly 20 years. Not exactly the plan, but definitely part of God’s intent for my growth.
Balance has always mattered deeply to me. My first priority is being a present, healthy influence for my family—my husband and our two teenage boys—and truly living life with them.
Right alongside that is being that same influence for others through my work.
Today, I work with clients both in person and virtually.
While my certifications are in personal training, corrective exercise, nutrition, and behavior change, my real focus goes beyond programs. I help clients build sustainable habits, uncover what truly motivates them, and stay accountable—so they feel confident continuing long after our work together ends.
And this year, I’m saying this part out loud:
My goal for 2026 is to expand my reach and help more than 70 new individuals build healthier lifestyles that support their goals, fuel their passions, and allow them to live happier, more influential lives.
I’m sharing this now because clarity creates momentum—and because saying your goals out loud is often the first real step toward making them happen.
Your turn: What’s one goal you’re willing to name this year? Email and let me know -
xoxo,
Kim
P.S. If you’re feeling stuck or unsure where to start this year, that’s normal—and you don’t have to figure it out alone.
