The kind of reset we don’t talk about enough

Happy Sunday 🤍

I was thinking the other day about how often we talk about resetting — and how rarely we talk about what kind of reset we actually need.

We’re surrounded by resets right now.

Dry January.

New Year goals.

Fresh gym routines.

Clean slates and “this time I’ll really stick with it.”

And those can all be powerful.

But there’s another kind of reset that feels just as important — and it’s one that although it should ideally happen daily or even more often, we don’t schedule or take advantage of it nearly often enough.

Time alone.

Without influence.

Without a screen telling us what to think, buy, strive for, or fix.

Just quiet space to let your own thoughts form.

Somewhere along the way, many of us lost a bit of our ability to hear ourselves clearly. Not because we did anything wrong — but because we’re constantly taking in input from the world around us. Opinions. Expectations. Advice. Noise.

When was the last time you sat with yourself long enough to ask:

        • What do I actually want right now?
        • What feels supportive — not just impressive?
        • What kind of reset would help me feel more like me again?

For some people, a reset looks like stepping away from alcohol for a month.

For others, it’s recommitting to movement, or getting back into the gym.

For me, January always includes a deeper reset — I started my yearly cellular cleanse this past Wednesday, and I’ll do it four times throughout the month. It’s a physical reset, yes — but it’s also a mental and emotional one. A pause. A recalibration. A time to become more deeply in tune with my body and my thoughts.

And here’s the thing I keep coming back to:

There is no one-size-fits-all reset.

What works for your friend, your coworker, or the person you follow online might not be what your body, mind, or season needs right now.

If January feels like a time you want to:

        • reconnect with yourself
        • create space for clarity
        • rebuild habits that actually feel sustainable
        • or simply stop running on autopilot

I’d love to help you figure out what kind of reset makes sense for you.

You can reply to this email and start that conversation — or keep an eye out later this week when I share details about an upcoming webinar designed to help you create a reset plan that supports your real life, not someone else’s highlight reel.

This month doesn’t need pressure.

It needs intention.

And maybe a little quiet.

Enjoy your Sunday,

Kim
